Faced with a complex regulatory environment and in order to help food industry manufacturers ensure their packaging is compliant, three of the ACTIA PROPACK FOOD joint technological network's partner centres (CTCPA, IPC and LNE) worked together to prepare this practical guide aimed at manufacturers.
It concerns all packaging materials intended to come into contact with foodstuffs.
It provides explanations on phenomena such as migration and their toxicological impact, details applicable French and European regulations, and tells the reader which tools to use in an educational way with directly transposable food/packaging case studies.
This guide will be updated regularly, depending on regulatory changes and requests.
