Actia's activities

As it is ideally positioned at the interface between research and business, Actia performs collective actions relating to incentives, coordination and communication.

FOCUS OF A SCIENTIFIC AND TECHNICAL PARTNERSHIP

With its management of partnership tools, Joint Technical Units and Networks (UMTs and RMTs respectively), Actia is heavily involved in guiding and monitoring the works of the teams. Conducted in association with our research partners, these activities have a dual aim: to provide operational responses to economic, social and industrial issues, and to help Actia Centres continue their quest for knowledge.

MOBILISATION OF EXPERTISE

Through networks, Actia mobilises the expertise of Actia Centres in relation to regulatory and normative issues, and in conjunction with Food Safety, Nutrition and the Environment, in support of public and professional stakeholders.

ACCUMULATION AND DISSEMINATION OF INFORMATION

In order to provide extensive information for companies, Actia publishes guides and papers produced by RMTs and research projects carried out by UMTs and at the European level. This dissemination of information is accompanied by the organisation of colloquia.

A EUROPEAN AND INTERNATIONAL DIMENSION

Thanks to its European presence, Actia plays a dynamic role in promoting research activities carried out by the Technical Institutes with European partners and in developing international cooperation.

A KEY STAKEHOLDER IN THE NATIONAL FOOD R&D NETWORK

Using the expertise of its teams, Actia provides representation for Technical Centres and makes their competences available to official and professional bodies, both in France (Afnor, Anses, Ania, Ministries responsible for Food and Research, etc.) and in Europe (FoodDrinkEurope, Food for Life, etc.).
